Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive SAP Business Analyst (FICO and MM) to support the delivery and enhancement of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO), Material Management (MM), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System solutions. This role will work closely with Business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, and project managers to ensure successful execution of SAP initiatives, from requirements gathering through to implementation and support.
The role is based at our Vancouver BC office and reports to the SAP Project Support Manager. Occasional travel to other Lithium Americas offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering and Analysis
: Lead workshops to understand business needs and gather requirements for Finance (FICO), Material Management (MM) and other SAP Modules, including other Applications interacting with SAP, identifying process improvement opportunities.
Functional Specification Development
: Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for SAP configuration and development documentation.
Cross - functional Collaboration
: Act as a liaison between Finance, Material Management (procurement), Enterprises Asset Management (maintenance) Sales Distribution, Production and our IT teams / 3rd Party Consultants to ensure seamless integration and communication.
Project Management
: Assist in managing SAP and other application asset implementation projects from initiation to completion, coordinating activities and stakeholders.
Testing and Validation
: Develop and execute Test Scripts, ensuring the system functions correctly and maintains data integrity for all applications.
End-User Support and Training
: Provide ongoing support to business users, resolve FICO/MM/EAM issues for SAP and other applications and deliver training on new functionalities.
Process Optimization
: Analyze current processes, identify areas for automation and improvement, with consideration of company policies and procedures along with internal controls, and proposed solutions.
Module integration
: Ensure proper integration and data flow between FICO, MM, EAM and other SAP modules and external application systems.
Data Migration and upgrades
: support data migration efforts and assist with system upgrades.
Master Data and SAP administrator
: Support the business with Master data integrity, security analysis on SAP roles, and SAP administration for support and service request as required. Analyze and document system errors and ensure appropriate adjustments logged for correction.
Stewardship of policy and procedures
: ensure our implementation solutions adheres to company policies, procedures and controls.
Ad hoc reports
: provide ad hoc reports to the business, including external auditors when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems or similar field, an asset
3 + years of related SAP/ERP or IT experience in a business setting, an asset
Understanding of internal controls in an IT environment
Strong understanding of business processes and SAP / ERP best practices.
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Project Management skills prefered
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
