Full-Time, permanent, 6-days a week; and some additional hours, which may include Sundays, depending on workload and priorities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensure that all areas, including offices and restrooms, are up to cleaning standards
Clean and sanitize all production equipment
Responsible for ensuring food contact surfaces are sanitary
Make sure Sanitation is carried out as per the SSOPs and Master Sanitation Schedule
Complete checklists associated with sanitation procedures
Work with Chemicals in a responsible manner and in association with the specific Food Safety and Chemical Handling training provided
Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with GMP policies
Refills dispensers as needed, this includes but is not limited to paper towels, hand soap, toilet paper, hand sanitizers, and other dispenser(s) as directed by the Sanitation Specialist
Maintain a safe work environment
Report any observed safety hazards/food safety concerns to the Sanitation Lead and Sanitation Specialist
Communicate effectively with leads and supervisors for the next day setups
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures
Previous cleaning experience is required
Good interpersonal skills
Able to understand and follow instructions as given
Good organizational skills, and detail orientated
Able to work in a team environment with a professional and optimistic attitude
Able to work independently with limited supervision
Physical Abilities:
Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13?C / 55?F
