Sanitation Technician (Portable Toilets)

Job description

To provide portable sanitation services in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining our company reputation of top quality in customer service to Medicine Hat and area.

Responsibilities:

Deliver, perform service cleanings and pickup portable toilets as necessary per our standards.

Maintain vehicle and equipment as directed by our company standards.

Maintain paperwork diligently for day-to-day operations including communication with Dispatch.

Mitigate issues that arise on route in an efficient and professional manner.

Portray professionalism and outstanding customer service on behalf of our company.

Sanitizing & repairs on temporary restrooms as needed at shop when not completing scheduled jobs.

Key Tasks:

Drive service truck and trailer to specific contract rental job sites to deliver, pick up, clean and/or empty portable toilets as required.

Complete paperwork in a legible manner and complete required dispatch software requirements.

Deploy roadway warning signage as required.

Process payments from clients when required.

Conduct vehicle Preventative Maintenance on vehicle and equipment as prescribed by Management.

Report all mechanical issues to Management.

Arrive fit for duty with appropriate PPE.

Assist with shop, plumbing and vacuum truck activities as required.

Skills:

Motivated and a self-starter to work individually and as a positive team member.

Excellent customer services.

Comfortable reading a map and following route directions.

Receiving and following directions in a positive manner.

Ability to work in all weather extremes.

Prepared to work long hours and weekends if required.

Requirements:

Clean driving record (3 year commercial abstract) with no GDL designation.

Must include the clean drivers abstract with resume.

Driving skills - ability to navigate vehicle in tight roads and driveways - comfortable and efficient with towing trailers.

Digital mapping and navigation skills including how to read a map.

Ability to lift up to 80 pounds repetitively without difficulty and ability to climb in and out of truck with ease.

Ability to work flexible hours, holidays and weekends.

Ability to be on-call if required.

Ability to drive safely in adverse weather conditions.
