SANITATION TECHNICIAN (OFFICES/LAUNDRY)

We are currently looking for a Sanitation Technician (Office/Laundry) for our Brooklyn, Queens County facility.

Responsibilities

:

Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, your work will include, but not be limited to the following:



Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Process (GMP); Maintain and verify accurate and complete logs and records of areas that have been cleaned; Follow cleaning routines and schedules as set by Supervisor, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window washing, mirrors, etc. Ensure cleaning tasks assigned by the Supervisor are carried out in a timely and thorough fashion; Ensure any repairs/maintenance requirements noticed during cleaning duties are reported to the Supervisor in a timely manner; Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure in good working order; Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to Supervisor; Utilize proper training to clean up potentially hazardous materials, or contact the appropriate authorities to handle such incidents; Identify appropriate cleaning materials and products to sanitize area, disinfect and deodorize according to company standards; Organize cleaning items, disinfectants and other materials kept in storage, as well as cleaning equipment; Use proper signage to indicate wet flooring or other potentially hazardous situations; Replenish supplies in washrooms, such as hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper; Wash and/or sanitize rooms according to directions and schedule using approved cleaning products; Dispose of waste and recycling materials according to instructions; Sort all linens and treat stains, load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents, take wet, clean items and dry as directed, sort, fold and store clean dried items; Maintain all laundry equipment and inform Facility Manager as to any maintenance needs; Perform additional laundry services when necessary; Assist with regulatory destruction of cannabis; Work safely by exercising due diligence and reporting any hazard to the Supervisor; Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications/Requirements

:

Previous custodial or sanitation experience within a production facility is an asset OH&S and WHMIS

Compensation:

To be determined based on skills and experience, benefits and paid time off

Status and Hours:

Permanent, 40hrs per week
