Position Title: Sanitation ManagerPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time \xe2\x80\x8bPosition Location: CarberryRequisition ID: 28880McCain Foods (Canada) is currently seeking a Sanitation Manager to join our leadership team at our Carberry Potato facility in Carberry, MB. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and is a key member of the Plant Leadership team.As the ideal incumbent, you will:

• Lead the sanitation department to ensure that all food safety guidelines are met while adhering to all human and chemical safety procedures.
• Support and execute the Company\'s Food Safety programs at the facility in conjunction with Quality department.
• Provide input on sanitation excellence across the organization.
• Be responsible and project leader for all Audit Readiness Programs and initiatives in collaboration with various departments, such as, Quality, Maintenance, Production, Engineering and Corporate.
• Work collaboratively with Quality department in all Food safety programs and audits and food defense programs.
• Support and promote the company\'s health and safety program, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure continued compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and JHSC recommendations.
• Track and trend critical sanitation metrics to measure performance and achieve improvements while maintaining all standards.
• Lead regular Sanitation meetings with all stakeholders such as Plant Manager, Maintenance, Contractors, Operations and QA.
• Be responsible and project leader for all sanitation shutdowns (Clean ups) ensuring completeness of the sanitation activities on time.
• Be responsible and Project leader for all Sanitary design projects, improvements, and initiatives.
• Be responsible for the training and effectiveness of the HACCP Sanitation Manual and ensuring it is kept current.
• Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance in directing activities during sanitation days and daily sanitation activities, as well as working closely with the corporate quality department to implement new sanitation standards and reporting requirements.
• Be an active leader in the plant\'s fryer safety program, which involves mentoring and training all fryer operators and supervisors to help eliminate fryer fire risk and improve overall operation of the equipment.
• Lead the Sanitation Team in safe working practices, including chemical handling, PPE, and WSNB requirements.
• Manage Sanitation operating budget.
• Liaison between McCain and Contractors and Vendors for all chemical inventory, equipment upgrades and training requirements.
• Maintain plant pest-control program with Contractors and Vendors
• Ensure compliance with the McCain Foods\' sanitation guidelines, customer requirements and government requirements.
• Have a clear understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment function in order to ensure proper equipment sanitation.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Annual performance management of Day Sanitation team
• Incorporate sanitation goals into the plant continuous improvement programs.
• Performs other projects and/or duties as assigned or needed.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent training and experience
• A willingness to further education in HACCP certification, BRC requirements and Micro standards, etc.

• Experience and knowledge in all facets of cleaning and sanitation of a food processing facility is an asset.
• Experience with Sanitation Chemicals and best practices is an asset.

• Prior management experience is a definite asset.
• Project Management experience.
• Working knowledge/understanding of principles and processes for providing sanitation and cleaning services, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of results.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with SAP preferred.
