A Bread Affair is looking for a

Sandwich Maker/Kitchen Assistant

to support our Pastry Chefs in our Granville Island bakery. In this role, you will work closely with our talented team, helping to prepare high-quality pastry and sandwich products using organic ingredients from British Columbia and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Pastry Chefs with food preparation and maintaining kitchen efficiency Prepare and assemble sandwiches with attention to quality and presentation Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment Follow kitchen safety and hygiene protocols Support teamwork and contribute to a positive work atmosphere

What We're Looking For:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Flexibility to assist with various kitchen tasks as needed Food preparation experience is an asset but not required High school diploma or equivalent experience FoodSafe certification (preferred)

Shifts:

Morning shifts starting at 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM

Job Type:

Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay:

$17.40 - $18.50 per hour (+ tips)
