ABOUT OUR OPERATION

The objective of Sanajiksanut is to increase Inuit workforce in all of AEM's Nunavut operations by contributing to the development of skills and competencies of the Inuit population in the Kivalliq region. The Sanajiksanut Process is composed of 4 steps: Employment Information Session, Online Application, Pre-employment Training, and Employment. In completing these stages of the Sanajiksanut Process, applicants will better prepare themselves for future employment with AEM or one of its contractors.

Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Utility Person - Warehouse is part of the Maintenance Department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. She/He will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.





Priority will be given to Inuit Candidates.

Remove rubble, snow, hazardous materials and other debris around the warehouse. Provide service to the different departments. Carry materials and equipment. Make deliveries to job sites. Place and organize inventory on the shelves and sea-containers. Maintain a clean and uncluttered workspace. Operate light equipment, such as fork-lift and telehandler. Help and support clerks with their tasks. Any other duty required by the Supervisor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experience as a Warehouse Person or Utility Person. Enrolled in a Parts person apprenticeship is considered an asset. Experience operating a fork-lift, skid steer and zoom boom is considered an asset. Experience working in a multicultural environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team. Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written).
