MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.

We have an opening in our Prince George location.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:

Responsibilities:

Receive and enter sample information into our computer systems. Prepare samples for testing including separation, drying, crushing, and splitting in accordance with our standard operating procedures and policies. Perform QC checks and ensure adherence to quality standards. Weighing and data entry of samples to ensure accuracy and volume monitoring. Use crushing and other equipment to process samples. Utilise the existing computerized system to manage stock. Some lifting is required, up to 50 lbs throughout the day.

Requirements:

Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.

Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels.

Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures.

Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and deal with problems.

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, Word & Excel

High School education is a pre-requisite.

Previous experience in mining companies preferred, but not essential.

Ability to interact with different cultures.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Previous experience with the use of a pallet jack is an asset

Some physical lifting, up to 50 pounds, is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
