Job Title Salesforce Senior Developer (Tech Lead)


















What is the opportunity? The Personal and Commercial Banking (P&CB) arm of RBC is in the preparation stages of launching a ground breaking program to deliver the best customer experiences by equipping our advisors with the very latest technology and processes in the industry. We have partnered with Salesforce to build out our next gen CRM Advisor Platform, the cornerstone of this critical transformational program. Together, we’re aiming to take a giant leap towards our goal of becoming a digitally enabled relationship bank. Of course, the journey would not be possible without world class talent. We’re in search for a Salesforce Senior Developer to help us break new technology ground. You’ll be joining a diverse and inclusive agile lab delivering solutions on Salesforce’s Financial Services Cloud platform. We’re pulling all the stops and employing the latest in technology, scaled agile practices, as well as DevOps/SRE to help bring to life the CRM Advisor Platform of the future here at RBC.   • As a senior lead within the technical team, you will be responsible of coaching and reviewing the work of more junior resources.
  • You will be responsible of the design, development and deployment on the Salesforce Financial Service Cloud to drive business value.
  • You will work closely with the architects and business partners to implement CRM capabilities on the Salesforce platform.
  • Assist scrum teams in gathering requirements/user stories to develop/enhance functionality on the Salesforce platform, including the technical analysis and estimates.
  • Actively contribute in any team discussions, value add by sharing experiences or providing technical know-how to the team best leverage the out of the box capabilities.
  • Assist in DevOps development, best practices and process efficiencies.
  • Stay current on Salesforce’s development platform and implement Salesforce development best practices, following the RBC internal standards and guidelines.
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
  • 10+ years of web-based application design/developer experience or full-stack development
  • 5+ years in Salesforce configuration, customization, development, deployment using Salesforce.com
  • Experience implementing CRM solutions in the financial sector
  • Hands-on experience with the Lightning platform including APEX coding, Aura framework, Lightning Web Components, API’s, Platform Events and Salesforce Data Model.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps best practices
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and its architecture and product suite including Sales & Service Cloud and Financial Services Cloud
  • Strong technical background with web development technologies
  • Experience integrating Salesforce applications with 3rd party systems using APIs, UI frameworks and event based integration patterns.
  • Design and development experience using Agile
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I (PDI) & Platform Developer II (PDII)
Nice-to-have
  • Ongoing experience/practices on keeping up-to-date on Salesforce trends and best practices related to technical designs
  • Engaged in the broader Salesforce Community
  • Experience with Datastage, OCP technologies and related CI/CD tools
  • Advanced analytical and reasoning abilities. Able to develop and adapt business processes after evaluating multiple solutions.
