The Finance Co-op Student Job will be based out of Dieppe, New Brunswick (100 Midland Drive, E1A 7G9). We are looking for an individual with a can-do attitude who likes to solve problems and wants to gain practical finance and accounting experience in a fast-moving, growth oriented Consumer Packaged Goods organization . This is a temporary student position.

We have an excellent student program at J.D. Irving with formal and informal opportunities to meet and network with people from across the business, including other students. This is a great experience that will provide you with challenging and valuable work experience learning from industry-leading professionals!

Job Requirements

• Education Required: Finance or Accounting Co-op students in good academic standing.
• Very good communication and organization skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities.
• High energy level with thorough attention to details.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:

• Conduct monthly income statement analysis.
• Prepare presentations for senior management.
• Provide analysis on customer performance.
• Prepare customer and product profitability analysis.
• Account reconciliations
• Cash application in JD Edwards.
• Daily cash position.
