We are looking for an experienced automotive professional to join our team as a Sales Manager.

Okotoks Nissan is a part of the Davis Auto Group and we are entering an exciting time of renewal as we begin to grow our variable department and expand our presence in the Okotoks community and surrounding area. We believe our opportunities are limitless and as the Sales Manager, you will play an integral role in helping us to realize our full potential.

Reporting to a dynamic and passionate General Manager, as the Sales Manager, you will lead and support our variable team in achieving their goals, providing an exceptional customer experience and capitalizing on the opportunities that exist for our dealership.

Our ideal candidate has a strong sense of personal achievement and prefers to work hands-on in the business rather than sitting in an office. This hands-on approach will extend into the community with the willingness to develop strong relationships and connections through being an active member of the Okotoks community.

  • Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the variable department and train, support and coach the sales and finance team in all aspects of the sales process.
  • Manage new and used inventory levels to ensure available inventory is balanced and appropriate for the market and that stock rotation is efficient and optimized
  • Determine and order appropriate stock of new vehicles (colour, model, equipment) based on analysis of relevant client and market analysis
  • Appraise, purchase, recondition and market used vehicles to generate profit for the dealership
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of employees while taking an active role in developing talent for the future
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals
  • Keep abreast of all the manufacturer\'s current product and promotions and communicates changes to the variable team
  • Maintain effective communication within the variable department and with other leaders in the dealership; working together to identify opportunities and resolve issues
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in automotive sales and finance. Previous leadership experience and Nissan experience is considered a strong asset
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build a cohesive team through effectively motivating, inspiring and engaging employees
  • A team player committed to working with leadership and employees to ensure goal alignment and achievement
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills with a continuous improvement pedigree
  • Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills including the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
  • A valid Driver\'s License
