Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Selling guest rooms, meeting space and other services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business.
Preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments.
Accurately prepares Requests for Proposals in a timely manner.
Maximize sales occupancy and rates in conjunction with hotel operations to increase profits.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, relationship building, and industry events.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
Conduct site inspections and present proposals to prospective clients.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials and campaigns.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Provide exceptional customer service and act as a point of contact for clients during events and stays.
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales experience.
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
Bachelor\'s degree in Hospitality or Business Management is preferred. Must have selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills training.
A strong working knowledge with the market\'s local corporate transient business accounts.
Upscale or luxury hotel experience is preferred.
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
Availability to travel for tradeshows, conferences and development.
