Sales Manager

Our well-established Hospitality client is searching for a successful Sales Manager to join their team. New business development, strategic market penetration, and growth will be a primary responsibility for this position. The Sales Manager will have high energy with a passion for success and be ready to hit the ground running.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

  • Manage the hotels Corporate and Business travel accounts including RFP\xe2\x80\x99s & prospecting
  • Proactively communicate with the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s most loyal guests and VIPs such as offering support with reservations, sending pre-arrival communication, and personally welcoming them while on property
  • Create, track, and act upon preferences and requests of elite loyalty members and VIP s
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service, while ensuring prompt and courteous service is provided to both internal and external contacts
  • Create, maintain, and manage positive and strong relationships with all guests, vendors, departments, colleagues, and the global sales network
  • Organize and conduct introductory & planning site visits in a professional manner that addresses the need of the guests/groups, while showcasing our hotel and offerings
  • Work with the Conference Services Manager for an effective pass-over of all group blocks to service catering component
  • Create strong relationships across various departments, including Front Office, Culinary, Housekeeping, Audio Visual, etc.., while ensuring information is accurately communicated and operational requirements are accounted for
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required. As directed, assist with competitive intelligence information. Conduct ongoing research within a given market segment/region
  • Partake in tradeshows, conventions, and promotional events within the hotel and trade-related organizations
Your strengths include:
  • 3+ years of Sales experience
  • Diploma/degree in a related field is an asset
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications is required and prior experience with property management systems is an asset
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, interact with many moving parts and collaborate with various areas throughout the hotel
  • High attention to detail to ensure the highest level of accuracy
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and verbal essential, with the ability to build relationships and rapport seamlessly
