Position Summary:
The
Sales Manager
will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy across major retail, e-commerce, and distribution accounts in
Canada and the USA
. This role requires an experience sales leader with a proven track record in
CPG/FMCG sales
, ideally in
personal care, household, or natural product categories
. The Manager will manage and expand both
private label and branded sales,
drive profitability, and build long-term partnerships with key retail customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve
revenue growth and margin targets
in the USA and Canada
Manage, expand and nurture relationships with
major retail accounts, distributors and e-commerce platforms
Lead sales efforts for
private label contracts
with top-tier retailers, ensuring strong partnerships and repeat business
Grow
branded product sales
by developing retail distribution, promotional programs and category strategies
Negotiate pricing, trade terms, promotional funding and contracts with key customers
Collaborate with
Marketing, R&D and Operations
team to align product development and supply chain capabilities with customer requirements
Monitor market trends, competitor activities and category insights to inform strategic decisions
Prepare accurate sales forecast, reports and business reviews for accounts and executive leadership
Create and track KPI's to identify gaps, track performance and create plans to overcome obstacles
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events and customer meetings across North America
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive sales experience in CPG/FMCG sector, preferably in personal care, beauty, natural products or household goods
Proven success in managing major retail accounts across the North American region (Grocery, Mass, Club and e-tailors etc.)
Strong experience in
Private Label product development and contract negotiations and branded product sales growth
Demonstrated ability to deliver sales targets and profitability goals in competitive markets
Strong leadership, team management and broker/distributor management experience
Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to analyze data, market trends and financial metrics to make strategic decisions
Willingness to travel frequently within Canada and the USA
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
