Position Overview
The Sales/Finance Manager will lead a team of four sales consultants, driving them to consistently prospect and generate enough quality leads to achieve sales targets of 25-35 vehicles per month. This role combines sales leadership with finance management, requiring strong experience in both areas.
The right candidate is an entrepreneurial go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment, has a proven record of success in automotive sales or finance management, and can inspire a team to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, coach, and inspire a team of four sales consultants to prospect effectively using the dealership's database, social media platforms, and advertising budget.
Conduct daily deal meetings and ongoing training sessions in partnership with the General Sales Manager.
Monitor team performance and hold regular employee reviews to ensure accountability and growth.
Sales & Deal Structuring
Desk deals alongside sales consultants, working with customers to reach win-win agreements.
Oversee the preparation of accurate sales documentation including bills of sale, ICBC insurance documents, bank contracts, and aftermarket product contracts.
Finance & Lender Relations
Submit credit applications to lenders and secure the best financing terms for clients.
Ensure compliance with all lender guidelines, dealership policies, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and finance institutions.
Collaboration & Strategy
Work closely with the General Sales Manager to review deals, strategize game plans, and continuously improve sales and finance processes.
Assist with advertising and marketing campaigns to maximize lead generation.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of proven success in the automotive industry in a sales management or finance management role.
Strong understanding of automotive financing, lender programs, and compliance requirements.
Experience leading a sales team to meet or exceed monthly targets.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail in contracts and documentation.
Entrepreneurial, driven, and able to build momentum through leadership and example.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
