The Opportunity:
The Sales Executive is responsible for supporting the company's growth by building and maintaining strategic relationships with new and existing customers. This role combines technical knowledge of the wastewater industry with a drive to execute sales and grow revenue by leading enhanced customer satisfaction and developing strong relationships. This role is critical in ensuring SENTRY's customers receive maximum value from products and services while fostering strategic partnerships that drive business growth.
What You'll do:
Account Management:
Develop and manage relationships with existing municipal and industrial wastewater treatment customers to renew contracts and identify opportunities to expand the use of SENTRY's wastewater monitoring solution within existing accounts.
Manage contract renewals by initiating discussions prior to the renewal date, addressing potential concerns, and ensuring continued satisfaction.
Check in with clients regularly to ensure successful product implementation, provide ongoing technical updates, and continuously seek opportunities to expand accounts.
Remain informed on industry trends, risks, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide clients with relevant insights and maintain a competitive edge.
Prepare technical proposals and quotations that balance customer needs with business objectives.
Business Development:
Develop and manage relationships with prospective customers and manufacturing representatives in the wastewater sector.
Travel to various locations across North America to meet and present with representatives from municipal or industrial wastewater treatment plants to assess their current systems and suggest solutions to their problems.
Deliver engaging and technical presentations that showcase the capabilities and benefits of SENTRY's products and services.
Consistently schedule sales calls with prospective customers and influence customer decision makers by communicating the product capabilities and the specific solutions available.
Understand and record client budgets and maintaining accurate record tracking of sales pipelines through the Salesforce.
Collaboration and Communication:
Consult and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
Work closely with Marketing to transition marketing qualified leads (MQLs)into sales qualified leads (SQLs)
Work closely with manufacturers representatives and client ambassadors to convert MQLs provided by marketing into client introduction calls (sales qualified leads, (SQLs)).
Act as a primary liaison for SENTRY, facilitating effective communication with manufacturing representatives, prospective and current clients.
What We're Looking For:
A strong technical background and clear understanding of wastewater treatment processes.
Mission driven with a passion for wastewater treatment solutions.
Ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
Strong understanding of analytical tools used to monitor wastewater treatment processes.
Technically minded with the ability to drive sales and revenue growth.
Strong communication skills and confidence and comfort, presenting and answering technical questions online and in-person.
Solutions focused with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Self-motivated and able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Experience:
1+ years of experience as a plant operator, superintendent, manufacturer's representative or industry consultant or other similar role within the wastewater treatment sector.
Post secondary education or formalized training in water treatment processes or controls would be a significant asset.
Prior experience in sales, specifically with analytical equipment and/or in the wastewater sector.
