Job Description


BASIC FUNCTION: Plan, develop, and promote the sale of passenger air tickets in all assigned markets. MAJOR DUTIES: 1. Develop, promote, and service the sale of tickets by travel agents, consolidators, tour operators, TMCs, DMCs, corporate accounts and organizations, associations and interline contacts through systematically planned personal contact, telephone calls, e-mails and other forms of on-line and offline communication, including social media. 2. Develop and implement a Sales Plan to achieve revenue/traffic growth in the market segments using pre-planned and cost effective sales strategies and tactics. 3. Maintain regular direct contact with customers as well as potential customers, including travel agencies and corporate accounts. 4. Implementation of innovative sales initiatives to acquire new business or increase market share, including maintaining a comprehensive database and extensive records of Sales accounts. 5. Initiation of specific sales activities within assigned markets to increase sales and improve awareness, i.e., sales blitzes, educational seminars, client presentations. 6. Accountable for revenue target set by Head Office. 7. Represent the company at meetings, conventions, trade shows and special events where appropriate to promote future sales and create awareness of the airline\xe2\x80\x99s products and destinations. 8. Assist in the resolution/collection of agency debit memos (ADMs) and other debts owed to the company, in keeping with company guidelines. 9. Perform additional duties as directed by the Manager Sales & Marketing and make recommendations for improved means of conducting business to meet the needs of the market and changing industry conditions. 10. Perform market research, and competitive intelligence utilizing available resources and tools provided. 11. Available after business hours and on weekends for any ad-hoc operational necessities. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 1. 5 years travel industry experience/3 yrs outside direct sales preferred. 2. Effective communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and time management skills. PC proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products. 3. Must have drive/motivation and creativity in sales approaches.
4. Good presentation and communication skills.
5. College degree preferred.
6. Previous reservations/ticket experience a plus. Job Type: Full-time Benefits:
