Sales engineer professional





Reporting to general manager, the sales engineer professional is responsible for North American sales and marketing efforts with primary focus on Canadian MSO business development and maintenance AND US business development in partnership with our US sales partners. Electroline Equipment Inc. is a leading international provider of broadband solutions specializing in DOCSIS and Euro-DOCSIS based status monitoring transponders and temperature hardened cable modems, optical transmission products, addressable tap systems. The sales engineer professional is primarily responsible for identifying sales opportunities in all markets, coordinate internal marketing and engineering development efforts to best promote market presence and company image.

As the critical member of the management team, it is expected that the sales engineer professional work in concert with existing and potential new representative companies, distributors, end user customers, company sales and marketing staff, engineers, developers etc... Documenting customer requirements and competitive offerings, your main task is to relate and work directly with Canadian MSOs and with the local US representative sales channel partners and customers, identify sales potential, requirements, customer evaluations, acceptance, and closing the order. Attending major events like SCTE EXPO and various significant vendor events, providing customers and/or representatives, documentation, sales quotes, basic level of technical support. Some travel is required, following company travel guidelines.

Responsabilities : (not limited too)



Participate in expositions and vendor events to maintain local support (representative and customer) and to enlist services of new distributors where required. Assist in the co-ordination and hosting of presentations with our sales channel partners and/or any potential customer

Maintain constant, daily communication with our US sales channel partners (manufacturers

representatives, distributors, resellers, etc...) in order to maximize mind share and sales

efforts

Follow-up all sales efforts with the respective channel partner to insure excellent customer service and sales closure

Review overall territory health & work with local sales channel partners to increase repeat orders and increase account penetration

Maintain sense of urgency to achieve sales targets with all of our sales channel partners

Communicate and assist with leads provided through marketing resources, website inquiries, call-ins, etc, with the proper sales channel partner

Contribute and be part of a customer-focused environment that encourages information sharing, team-based overall activities, and an absolute focus on new business, and information gathering for new product development opportunities.

Weekly/monthly Pre & Post Sales Analysis reports generation

Pull in any required resources to assist in sales generation & closure (engineering, marketing, finance, etc...)

Respond quickly and efficiently to special case sales inquiries, preparing brochures, sales presentation material, white paper supporting documentation, quotes, etc...

Document various customer requirements, competitive offerings, including specs, features, pricing, compliance with various standards

Work in concert with management and engineering teams to help Electroline Equipment to continuously evolve our market positioning and keep up with the latest technology requirements for our current and future customers.

Job Requirements:



Degree in Electrical Engineering,

Self driven, minimum supervision requirements, short learning curve.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Bilingual French/English a necessity)

Team work positive attitude.

Proven ability in problem resolution, researching, analyzing options and making recommendations.

Keen ability to organize and prioritize work, demonstrating high attention to detail, accuracy.

Ability to respect deadlines.

Proficient with the use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Job Assets:



Knowledge and experience of Optical equipment transmission (OLT/ONU), CATV RF, DOCSIS

Market experience with Cable MSOs and telecommunication service providers. (Definite asset)

RF & Optical transport and distribution

Sales network management and support experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
