About You
You are an experienced cybersecurity-focused Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of complex technical environments and enterprise business outcomes. With a strong foundation in networking fundamentals, data security, and cloud architectures, you excel at translating sophisticated security concepts into clear, compelling value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You have proven success supporting enterprise sales cycles, leading proofs of concept, and designing secure, scalable architectures that address data protection, governance, and compliance challenges. Role Overview:
We are seeking a Sales Engineer with expertise in cybersecurity to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in driving the adoption of our cybersecurity solutions.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Sales support:
collaborate with the sales team to understand our customers' requirements and craft tailored demonstrations of our solutions.
Technical expertise:
present and articulate very clearly and concisely the technical value of our solutions, emphasizing how they align with our customers strategic data initiatives.
Solution design:
develop and propose architectures that align with our customers' environments and business objectives.
Proof of concept:
lead PoC engagements, ensuring successful implementation and demonstrating our solutions' efficacy and key benefits.
Customer advocacy:
address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and advocate for our customers' needs.
Training and enablement:
educate internal teams and customers on our solutions capabilities, features and best practices.
Collaboration:
work closely with product management, engineering, implementation, and marketing to provide feedback on customer needs and market trends.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of the OSI model, common protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/STFP/FTPS, SMTP, DNS, etc.), and network fundamentals (including Load Balancers, Proxies, Content Delivery Networks and/or Web Application Firewalls.)
Experience solving complex data governance, data risk, data security and data residency problems for Enterprise customers..
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address customers' needs effectively.
Familiarity with PCI compliance standards and technologies.
Hands-on experience with databases and cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience:
5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or similar
Proven success in supporting enterprise sales cycles and understanding complex technical customer environments.
