The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Sales Engineer (P.Eng.) who combines technical expertise with entrepreneurial drive. This pivotal role bridges engineering and business development--driving growth across our aerospace, clean-tech, and precision manufacturing divisions.
The position offers flexibility in location (within Alberta) with weekly onsite collaboration at our Calgary or Medicine Hat facilities and daily reporting to the executive team.
You will work directly with leadership to build client relationships, shape market strategy, and deliver tangible results in high-value industrial and defense sectors.
Key Responsibilities
:
Lead technical sales and business development initiatives across aerospace, clean-tech, and advanced manufacturing markets.
Translate customer requirements into engineered solutions--coordinating with technical teams to scope, price, and deliver complex projects.
Develop marketing and sales strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives; track performance metrics and market trends.
Prepare detailed proposals, client presentations, and ROI analyses demonstrating technical and commercial value.
Manage opportunity pipelines, budgets, and project timelines in coordination with the executive team.
Represent Atlantis at trade shows, industry events, and strategic partnership meetings.
Identify emerging market opportunities and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering (or related discipline).
5+ years' experience in engineering sales, project management, or industrial/manufacturing environments.
Proven success in technical business development; ability to balance relationship-building with disciplined execution.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or energy sectors is a strong asset.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems, proposal tools, and financial forecasting.
Must be able to travel within Alberta and to client sites as required.
