The Mission





This is not a typical Inside Sales role. You are the

first inside sales hire

at a high-growth, deep-tech company. Your mission is to build the outbound sales engine from the ground up. You will be responsible for generating the initial pipeline, qualifying complex, high-value leads, and co-authoring the sales playbook that Mechasys will use to scale. We need a "builder" who is meticulous, relentless, and eager to own a critical function of the company.


Core Responsibilities




1. Aggressive Outbound Prospecting (Hunter Mentality)




Execute high-volume, targeted outbound prospecting campaigns (personalized emails, LinkedIn messaging) to Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) in the construction industry (e.g., General Contractors, BIM Managers, VPs of Operations). Research key accounts to identify project opportunities and map organizational structures to find the "Champion" and "Technical Validator." Develop and iterate on outbound messaging in collaboration with leadership.

2. Rigorous Lead Qualification




Act as the first point of contact for all new business, managing and qualifying both inbound and outbound-generated leads. Conduct in-depth discovery calls to understand a prospect's current layout processes, technical requirements, project timelines, and purchasing authority. Master the Mechasys value proposition and sales methodology to skillfully navigate objections and differentiate us from legacy methods. Book qualified, high-value product demonstrations and meetings for the executive and field sales teams.

3. Foundational CRM & Revenue Operations




Take absolute ownership of CRM data integrity.

As the primary user, you will be responsible for ensuring our CRM is clean, accurate, and the single source of truth. Meticulously log all sales activities, update lead/contact/opportunity statuses, and clean existing data. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and build the first generation of sales reports to measure what's working.

Qualifications & Attributes




Required:

+ 2-4+ years of experience in a B2B sales role (e.g., SDR, BDR, Inside Sales), preferably in a high-growth startup.
+ Proven track record of exceeding quotas through outbound prospecting.
+ Experience with complex, high-ACV (Average Contract Value) sales cycles (e.g., deep-tech, hardware, or complex enterprise SaaS).

Meticulous attention to detail.

You must be obsessed with data hygiene and CRM discipline.
+ A "builder" and "owner" mentality. You thrive in ambiguity and are excited by the challenge of creating processes from scratch.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English; French is a major asset).

Bonus Points (Preferred):

+ Experience in ConTech (Construction Technology), robotics, or a related hardware/SaaS field.
+ Familiarity with the personas and business model of the commercial construction industry.
+ Proficiency with AI-powered sales augmentation tools.

Compensation:

+ Competitive Base Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 CAD
+ Aggressive, uncapped commission structure.
