Role Description
We're looking for a motivated, curious, and driven student to join Rulebook as a
Sales Development Representative (SDR)
. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tech sales while working closely with a fast-moving, innovative startup in the compliance technology space.
You'll be the first point of contact for potential customers and play a key role in generating interest and qualifying leads for our sales team. This role is ideal for someone interested in learning the ins and outs of B2B SaaS sales, with flexible hours to accommodate academic schedules.
Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach
: Research and identify potential customers using tools like LinkedIn and ZoomInfo. Execute outbound campaigns through emails, calls, and social selling.
Lead Qualification
: Engage prospects in thoughtful conversations to understand their needs and determine fit with Rulebook's platform.
Meeting Scheduling
: Book qualified meetings for Account Executives, helping move prospects through the sales funnel.
CRM Updates
: Log activities and maintain lead information in HubSpot.
Collaboration
: Work closely with the sales and marketing team to align messaging and improve lead generation strategies.
Learning & Growth
: Participate in regular training and 1:1 mentorship to build foundational sales skills and explore potential for full-time future opportunities.

Who You Are
A student currently enrolled in a university or college program (business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred).
Based in the
Greater Montreal Area
, with the ability to work remotely and occasionally commute to an office or team meetups as needed.
Curious, coachable, and eager to learn the world of SaaS and tech sales.
Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills (
English and French required
)
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage your time effectively.
Comfortable working independently and in a remote-first environment.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Previous internship or work experience in sales, customer service, or communications.
Familiarity with CRM platforms or sales tools.
Interest in compliance, legal tech, or B2B SaaS markets.
About the Opportunity
This is a
contract position
with flexible part-time hours during the school year, with the potential to scale to full-time over time.
Compensation will be hourly, with potential for performance-based bonuses.
The position is
remote-first
, but you should be located in the

Representant(e) au developpement des ventes (SDR)
. C'est une occasion exceptionnelle d'acquerir une experience concrete en vente B2B dans une startup technologique en pleine croissance.
En tant que SDR, vous serez la premiere personne a interagir avec les clients potentiels. Votre role sera essentiel pour susciter l'interet, qualifier les prospects, et alimenter notre pipeline de vente. Ce poste est ideal pour une personne qui souhaite en apprendre davantage sur les ventes dans le secteur des technologies SaaS, avec un horaire souple pour concilier travail et etudes.
Responsabilites
Prospection et sensibilisation
: Identifier des clients potentiels en utilisant des outils comme LinkedIn et ZoomInfo. Mener des campagnes de sensibilisation (courriels, appels, messages sur les reseaux sociaux).
Qualification de prospects
: Engager des conversations pertinentes pour comprendre les besoins des entreprises et determiner si notre solution y repond.
Prise de rendez-vous
: Planifier des rencontres qualifiees pour les representants aux ventes.
Mise a jour du CRM
: Tenir a jour les informations des prospects dans HubSpot.
Collaboration
: Travailler en etroite collaboration avec les equipes de vente et de marketing pour assurer une approche coherente.
Developpement professionnel
: Participer a des formations continues et a du mentorat pour developper vos competences en vente.
