Muskoka Cabinet Company is hiring a highly motivated Sales Designer to represent our premium cabinetry and interior solutions. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives on building relationships, traveling frequently, and closing high-value deals. You'll work directly with both wholesale (factory) and retail (consumer) customers to design, present, and sell custom cabinetry and interior solutions.. Role, Responsibilities and duties:



This is a vacant position. Remuneration will be based upon volume of sales, expected to range from $50,000 to $100,000 per annum. The intended sales service area will be focused upon , but not limited to, Ottawa and east to Quebec. Commission-Only Structure: High-earning potential based on your performance - the more you sell, the more you earn. Sales Designer to obtain new business and get a commission on every new business obtained. Flexible Schedule: Manage your own time and travel itinerary. While the primary focus will be on serving clients in Ottawa and eastern Quebec, the role may involve work in other areas as needed Provide outstanding service to existing factory (wholesale) and new retail (consumer) customers, ensuring their needs and preferences are understood and met throughout the design process. Actively contributes to lead and sales generation efforts by leveraging design expertise to attract and engage potential customers, participating in promotional events, and collaborating with sales teams to convert leads into sales opportunities. Travel extensively to meet clients, attend promotional events, network in target regions, and generate new leads and sales opportunities. Produce accurate and visually appealing kitchen, bath, closet, and wall unit drawings using Cabinetvision, Sketchup, and freehand techniques that align with company standards and exceed customer expectations. Develop detailed pricing estimates and contracts for consumer-type customers, incorporating all relevant specifications and ensuring transparency and clarity in pricing terms. Facilitate smooth and timely placement of cabinetry orders to the factory, coordinating with production teams to ensure accurate fulfillment and delivery according to customer timelines.

The Candidate



Individuals with the following traits, skills and experiences should apply:

Sales/Customer Service experience. French and English as primary languages are necessary. Personal vehicle for trips to customers and factory. Ability and willingness to travel extensively (75%+ travel). Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. College interior design diploma or 5 years' experience in lieu of. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify potential leads and participate in lead generation activities such as trade shows, open houses, and showroom events. Assist in converting leads into sales opportunities by providing design expertise, conducting design consultations, and presenting customized solutions to clients. Develop a working knowledge in software packages being used by Muskoka, namely: Cabinetvision, Smart (internal ERP software), and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of the elements of cabinet construction and installation. Possess strong knowledge of house building and blueprint reading.
