The responsibilities of the Sales Professional are centered on understanding and meeting customer needs. In order to sell, this person must have a basic knowledge of cars and be able to learn about the prices, models, trims, options, and other variations of the manufacturer's product. They should also know about the competition's products and prices. But most of all this person must show caring for their customers and a strong interest in exceeding their expectations. This person must have polished communication skills with customers, including the ability to present the company's products and the ability to discover, by questioning, exactly what the customer's needs are.
The Sales Professional is a resourceful negotiator, capable of addressing customer hesitation and resistance. Throughout the selling process, the Sales Professional presents a positive image of the dealership, both in mode of dress and helpful and friendly attitude. The Salesperson, in conjunction with the Sales Manager, determines personal sales goals and the methods by which those goals will be met.
Objectives:
Treat every customer as a potential lifetime purchaser, communicating a professional image that embraces honesty and concern for customer wants and needs.
Sell cars to make dealership profit, increase volume and maintain complete customer satisfaction.
Relate objectives and planned activities to your manager.
Deliver cars to customers. Ensure the customer understands the operating features, warranty conditions and all related documents to establish customer loyalty.
Maintain an owner follow-up and prospect development system to encourage repeat, referral and new business.
Acquaint customers with our Service Department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of the dealership's operations.
Recognize that business is built on customer satisfaction and apply oneself to ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Greeting customers and establishing a rapport to determine their automotive needs
Demonstrating vehicle features and benefits
Conducting test drives and accompanying customers on vehicle tours
Negotiating price and terms to close sales deals
Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers
Meeting and exceeding sales targets
Managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to delivery of vehicles
Ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt follow-up and excellent communication
Business Skills Required:
Knowledge of sales procedures, processes, and follow-up.
Ability to meet and greet customers.
Ability to effectively relate to customers of all backgrounds and focus on customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of Company products (prices, models, series, options, warranties, colours, standard equipment, specifications)
Ability to prospect and ask for referrals.
Ability to counsel a customer (likes, dislikes, finances, needs).
