Responsibilities

The Senior Shopper Insights Manager contributes to PepsiCo Beverages success by leading the development of shopper insights to delivery against the retailer and PepsiCo Beverage objectives. This person will create and execute world-class shopper and category solutions that will act as a growth multiplier for PepsiCo and its retail partners, by accelerating category demand and creating a distinct competitive advantage. The Senior Shopper Insights Manager is responsible for coaching and developing a Reporting & Insights Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the Shopper Insights and PepsiCo Demand Accelerator (DX) strategic learning agenda
  • Effective development and implementation of the shopper insights and DX customer business plan
  • Lead the development of advanced shopper and category insights tools based upon PepsiCo DX and global best practices in order to enhance the learning agenda and unlock growth opportunities
  • Establish strong working relationship with customers to increase depth of understanding and influence business results
  • Develop actionable fact-based recommendations leveraging advanced analytics to influence strategies and execution for PepsiCo and its retailer partners
  • Establish and leverage strong partnerships with PepsiCo global insights teams and Canadian cross functional teams
  • Design and create compelling, clear and concise presentations for senior management and external retail partners.
  • Coach and lead the development of consumer, shopper, channel and category insights-based plans with category managers that will enable the activation of AOP objectives
  • Lead and support the use of the analytic process and all analytic tools across the Category Management team in order to successfully achieve all Category Management AOP objectives
  • Establish and lead the communication and activation of insights with reports, training and best practices
Qualifications

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA degree preferred
  • 8+ years' experience in CPG Sales with 2+ years senior level account management and 2+ years category management. Field sales experience and/or direct store delivery environment an asset.
  • Experience in a Senior Consumer / Shopper Insights role with demonstrated success setting the agenda, leading data integration work and applying advanced analytics, would be an asset
  • Solid business and people leadership skills and experience required
  • Strong analytical skills, able to synthesize information to develop understanding and insights
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required
  • Self-starter, able to work independently on projects
  • Solid organizational and project management skills - able to establish priorities, strong detailed execution and ability to multi-task;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Nielsen and Microsoft Suite
  • Technical expertise with data management and Tableau/Power BI an asset
  • Bilingual is an asset
  • Possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Some business travel required
