About Us:

Oenomel Chocolate is a Vancouver-based artisanal chocolate company that crafts organic, fair-trade confections in small batches. Our chocolates are inspired by nature, travel, and connection--and are made to delight with both flavour and meaning. We're proud to be stocked in local boutiques, and you'll find us at pop-up markets throughout the year.

The Role:

We're looking for a reliable and friendly Market Assistant to help us set up and sell at Shipyard Christmas Market this holiday season. This is a part-time, casual position with a flexible schedule--ideal for someone who loves meeting people, has an eye for aesthetics, and enjoys supporting a local brand.

Responsibilities:

Set up and take down booth displays (table, signage, product layout, etc.) Represent Oenomel Chocolate with warmth and professionalism Offer product samples and educate customers about our chocolates Process sales using Square (training provided) Keep the booth tidy and well-stocked throughout the day Occasionally assist with packing or inventory between markets

Requirements:

Excellent communication and customer service skills Responsible, punctual, and self-motivated Able to lift up to 25 lbs (tables, boxes of chocolates) Comfortable working on your feet for several hours outdoors or indoors Access to a vehicle is an asset but not required Previous experience in sales, markets, or food service is a bonus

Hours & Availability:

Estimated 2-4 shifts/week from Nov 28th to Dec 24th Possibility of continuing with us throughout the year with flexible hours Shifts range from 4-8 hours

Compensation:

Starting at $18-20/hour, depending on experience Staff discount on chocolates Opportunity to grow with a creative and passionate small business
