Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sales and Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, supporting project planning, building strong sales and client relations, and ensuring competitive pricing. This role requires a great understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with estimating software. The Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers to deliver precise bids that align with project scope and budget.

Duties

Prepare detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements Utilize estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff to develop accurate pricing models Conduct quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, and equipment costs Collaborate with vendors to gather competitive pricing and negotiate terms Assist in developing project budgets and schedules based on estimates Review project plans to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities Support the construction team throughout the project execution phases (going through architectural drawings/scope of work) Maintain organized records of all estimates, bid proposals, and related documentation

Skills

Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff and other construction estimating software Strong knowledge of construction estimating, pricing strategies, and cost analysis Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and General Contractors Effective project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy in all estimates

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
