Job Description


Our client, a rapidly growing publisher of educational books and resources for elementary aged children and other early readers is about to expand into a brand new warehouse space to meet the demands of their growing business bringing all operations under one roof in September.

This is an exciting time to join the team now in the role of Sales Administrator!

Responsibilities
eCommerce Sales:
- Ensure online orders are fulfilled promptly
- Ensure the automated integrations with our accounting systems accurately record
each online order
- Ensure any refunds or cancellations are appropriately recorded in the accounting
systems

School and School Board Sales:
- Handle incoming requests for estimates/quotes - through telephone or email - and
create and deliver these estimates to the customer
- Handle incoming requests for tax and related business certificates from US
customers
- Acknowledge and process Purchase Orders from customers
- Create invoices for these purchase orders when appropriate

Retail Sales:
- Does not have a retail sales channel, but after relocating to our
commercial property, there may be a small retail sales volume.

Fulfilment:
- Prepare smaller orders for shipment (orders smaller than a pallet load)

As we are a rapidly growing company, there are occasions where people need to pitch in
and help others with unexpected demands. As a consequence, there may be times when
you are required to help in other areas of the company. Similarly, you can expect help in your
role at times of high demand. Must have an all hands on deck mentality during this exciting time of transition from an at home business to their new commercial warehouse space.

Required
Customer Service
You will be required to work with customers and vendors on the phone and via email. Your
patience will be tested. You should have excellent customer service skills with at least one
year of experience in a customer facing role.

Communication
Excellent English skills are required. This role includes both oral and written communication
when interacting with customers as you handle queries, create estimates, help track
shipments, and other post-sales activities.

Excellent attention to detail
Our customers are located across North America, and we need to accurately record various
details related to each order. Additionally, we need to create accurate estimates and invoices
involving various different tax codes and systems. You will need to become familiar with, and
accurately quote, and record items depending on eligible discounts, whether customers are
tax exempt, or what states or provinces items are being shipped to.

Computer Literacy
This role will require excellent email skills as well as working with accounting systems.

Qualifications:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
Must be able to lift up to 50lb boxes of product.
Must have own vehicle, may be required to drive to storage units in Bradford to gather boxes of product to transport to business
Reside within a half hour radius of Newmarket Ontario.
This business is in a transition period and about to move into a new warehouse in Newmarket. In the meantime they are operating from their beautiful home in Newmarket with appropriate workspaces set up.
