HOURS OF WORK: Rotating Days, Evenings, Nights, FTE: 0.6; Subject to change due to operational requirements

SALARY: $29.33 to $31.50 per hour

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from an approved school for Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Must be currently registered with the N.B. Association of Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Ability to function within the recognized scope of practice for LPN
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrates initiative, good judgement and the ability to set priorities.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills.
• High regard for confidentiality.
• Concentrated surgery experience during the past two years
• Successful completion of CVAD training and Medication Administration training
• Ability to follow and comply with strict aseptic techniques
• Willing to complete any relevant advanced LPN competency education
• Maintains annual CPR, WHMIS and Emergency Codes certification
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.
• Written and spoken competence in English is required.
