Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Safety Officer to champion workplace safety, health, and environmental standards across our transportation company. This pivotal role involves implementing comprehensive safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety excellence. As a Safety Officer, you will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, promote occupational health initiatives, and lead training programs to empower employees with the knowledge to maintain a safe working environment. Your proactive approach will help prevent accidents, reduce liabilities, and uphold our commitment to employee well-being. maintain all the trucks and trailers monthly report.

Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks. Maintain accurate documentation of safety audits, incident reports, workers' compensation claims, and compliance records. Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure readiness for various scenarios. Stay current with industry best practices and legislative changes related to workers' compensation law and occupational health standards. Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety and accident prevention. Requirements

Experience working for a transportation company First Aid Certificate Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Pay: $45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
