The Opportunity



As a

Health & Safety Officer (NCSO)

, you will play a key role in fostering a proactive, compliant, and engaged safety culture across our manufacturing operations. You'll collaborate with supervisors, employees, and leadership to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities



Complete and review

FLHAs (Field Level Hazard Assessments)

for manufacturing areas Maintain and monitor

health, safety, and environmental systems

in compliance with

federal, provincial, and corporate regulations

Ensure accurate documentation of

incident reports, hazard assessments, toolbox talks

, and related records Lead and participate in

workplace inspections, audits, and investigations

Develop, update, and implement

health and safety policies, programs, and training

Support

ACSA COR certification and annual safety audits

Oversee

WCB claims management

, return-to-work programs, and related documentation Deliver

toolbox meetings

and safety communications for shop personnel Maintain first aid and eyewash stations to ensure readiness and compliance Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Skills & Qualifications



National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation

-- required*
Minimum

5 years of experience

as an NCSO (manufacturing experience preferred) Thorough knowledge of

Alberta OHS legislation, codes, and standards

Strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels Demonstrated experience in

manufacturing or industrial safety

environments Highly organized with excellent

time management

and

attention to detail

Proficient in

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Proven ability to work

independently and collaboratively
