Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Tasks
---------Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety and accident prevention. Evaluate daily operations Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations Train staff Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses Initiate enforcement procedures to fine or close an establishment Develop and implement health and safety plans Ensure health and safety regulations are followed Respond to employee questions and complaints Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
