Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to oversee and implement safety protocols across construction sites. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a secure work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness. Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures tailored to construction activities. Provide safety training and orientation sessions for new and existing staff to promote best practices. Investigate accidents, incidents, or near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations. Maintain accurate safety documentation, records, and compliance reports using construction management software. Stay updated on relevant safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance. Developing, implementing, and enforcing our health and safety policy's Conducting safety and committee meetings Developing SWP's Reviewing and developing JHA's Performing internal audits Assisting in external audits Maintaining a well-developed safety program

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction safety management or a related field. Knowledge of construction management software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards. Excellent communication skills for training, reporting, and collaboration with diverse teams. Ability to identify hazards proactively and implement effective mitigation strategies Construction experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with site operations and safety challenges. Pay: $21.70-$43.29 per hour
