About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Safety & HR Coordinator
to support both our health & safety programs and human resources functions. This dual role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, compliant workplace and providing day-to-day HR support across our production and paint facilities.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations
Conduct inspections and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards
Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend corrective actions
Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
Support Payroll by coordinating, documenting, and maintaining all aspects of WCB claims reporting in alignment with regulatory requirement.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
Support recruitment activities, including job postings and candidate coordination
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees
Manage employee departures and terminations, including exit interviews and documentation
Maintain accurate employee records and HR files
Support payroll, benefits administration, and timekeeping processes
Serve as the main contact and support resource for all apprentice-related activities and responsibilities
Provide guidance on company policies and procedures
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of experience in safety, HR, or a combined role (industrial/manufacturing environment preferred)
Knowledge of OH&S regulations and HR best practices
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Valid Class 5 driver's license
First Aid training
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
