Job Description

As a Safety Coordinator you will join our safety management team and be a key individual in executing the company's safety program by supporting field operations and promoting a strong safety culture.

The responsibilities include:

Conduct site safety inspections and report deficiencies. Monitor worksite compliance with company safety program. Implement and support project plans, regulatory requirements and other safe work practices. Deliver toolbox talks. Support incident reporting and preliminary investigations. Maintain site-specific safety documentation and records. Assist in implementing corrective actions and hazard mitigation. Attend and assist Worksite Health and Safety Committee meetings. Collaborate with site superintendents on safe work procedures. Maintain and administer safety supplies.

Qualifications & Skills

Post secondary certificate in occupational health & safety. Minimum one years' experience in the commercial construction industry. Working knowledge of Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health Regulations and COR Safety Standards. Strong observation, communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Extensive health and safety training, including valid first aid. Valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract Ability to travel to worksites in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

Working Conditions:

Hours of work, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Office and worksite based. Physical requirements include walking on uneven surfaces and carrying up to 30 lbs. May require occasional travel for project assessments and meetings.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
