Safety Coordinator

to support our teams across Canada.

About the Role



Reporting to the General Manager, the Safety Coordinator will maintain and enhance Poly-Mor's safety culture across all divisions. This role supports field staff, supervisors, and management through program administration, onsite support, inspections, training coordination, and ongoing COR compliance.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain annual COR audit calendar and compliance requirements for

Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia

Support & conduct COR external/internal audits and action plans Conduct jobsite, shop, and work truck inspections and document findings Coordinate safety documentation and reporting, including training records and corrective actions Develop, schedule, and lead tailgate/toolbox talks and safety meetings Support incident and near-miss investigations, including root-cause analysis and reporting Prepare and update site-specific safety plans, hazard assessments and safe job procedures Assist with subcontractor management and safety compliance (ISNetworld an asset) Manage and support onboarding requirements for field teams Provide guidance to supervisors to ensure consistency across regional operations Help maintain Workhub training/compliance tracking (experience an asset)

Qualifications



Minimum 2-3 years of construction or industrial safety coordination experience Hands-on field exposure working with crews and construction sites Experience with COR audits and provincial audit processes (AB, ON required; NS an asset) Working knowledge of

ISNetworld

Strong understanding of hazard identification, safe work procedures, and incident response Experience conducting inspections and writing professional safety reports

Valid First Aid and WHMIS certifications

Strong communication and leadership presence when engaging crews Experience with Workhub or similar safety LMS systems is an advantage Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation Legally eligible to work in Canada
