The Opportunity
We're seeking a
Safety & Compliance Consultant
(Independent Contractor) who embodies the trifecta of being

. This role based in the Peace River Region and will lead client engagements, build and maintain practical safety programs, and be a trusted advisor to owners, GMs, and frontline leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
Safety Program Management:
Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety programs, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of safety.
Audits & Inspections:
Conduct thorough inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to regulations.
Training & Development:
Facilitate training sessions, onboarding programs, and workshops to educate and empower client teams.
Policy Development:
Craft and refine policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into incidents, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our client base and service offerings.?
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in occupational health and safety, particularly in sectors like construction, heavy equipment, forestry, or transportation.
Certifications:
Proven experience with COR/SECOR safety audits in Alberta (e.g., AASP, AFPA, AMTA).
Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation and practical field implementation.
Skills:
Exceptional communication, both written and verbal; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Traits:
Demonstrated humility, a strong drive to succeed, and excellent interpersonal skills.?
