The Opportunity:

Make your mark while you grow your career! Canadian Natural has an excellent opportunity for a Safety Analyst to join our Calgary team. Reporting to the Safety Lead, you will provide analytical support to the North American Operations Health and Safety team. If you are a self-starter, like to think outside the box and provide creative ideas and solutions, then this role is for you.

• Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts
• Safety sensitive position: Yes

Key Accountabilities:

• Creation and delivery of accurate and timely Health & Safety reporting to North American Business Units, Groups, and Stakeholders
• Analysis of Work Hour, Injury and Incident statistics for Stewardship reporting, trending, KPIs, Benchmarking, etc.
• Preparation of Safety Presentations, Scorecards, Training guides, Communications
• Safety system and program support, specifically Incident Management, Inspections, Worksite Observations programs, etc.
• Open Invoice administration - accurate and timely coding of payables
• Provide analytical mentorship and support to the Safety Administration team

What You Bring to the Role:

• Minimum 5 years of related Oil & Gas industry experience with a Grade 12 or GED
• Advanced level of proficiency in MS Word, Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
• Maximo and Tableau knowledge considered an asset
• Proven professional written & verbal communication skills in a corporate environment
• Strong background in database management required for maintaining database integrity with the ability to handle multiple large projects on a timely basis in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to work with a high degree of independence, initiative and confidentiality with strong organizational, critical thinking and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and team skills with the ability to work independent are required
