Location:

Northern Manitoba (eg. Thompson, The Pas, Flin Flon)

Position Type:

Full-time, Work-from-Home

Travel:

Frequent regional travel and periodic travel to Winnipeg (fleet vehicle provided)

The Manitoba Heavy Construction Association's WorkSafely Program is seeking a dynamic, motivated Safety Advisor to serve the Northern Region of Manitoba.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your expertise in workplace safety with your passion for community engagement and relationship-building.

As part of the WorkSafely team, you'll play a key role in advancing safety across the heavy construction industry--helping companies achieve and maintain safe workplaces, conduct audits, deliver training and foster a culture of safety that reaches across northern Manitoba.

What You'll Do



Provide safety consulting services, conduct COR audits, deliver safety training to companies across northern Manitoba. Provide on-site safety assessments, coaching, and develop resources to help companies improve their safety systems. Support industry events, trade shows, and safety promotion campaigns across the region. Collaborate with MHCA staff, partners, and other stakeholders to expand the reach and impact of WorkSafely programs.

What You Bring



Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, ideally in heavy construction or related industries. Knowledge of safety management systems, Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations and the COR National Standard. Strong communication and presentation skills--comfortable delivering training and building trust with diverse audiences. Proven ability to work independently, travel and manage time effectively. Experience working with Indigenous communities or a commitment to reconciliation and cultural awareness. Valid Class 5 driver's license (fleet vehicle provided). Heavy Construction Industry experience, Health and safety designations (e.g., NCSO, CRST) considered an asset.
