Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a safe work environment by implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position is essential for fostering a culture of safety within our organization and protecting our employees and assets.

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OHS regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Provide training to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with management to investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending improvements. Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report any violations or concerns to management. Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in legislation related to workplace safety.

Experience

A degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in a safety role within the construction or industrial sector is highly desirable. Computer Skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office & report writing is required. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels regarding safety matters. Excellent analytical skills for identifying risks and developing effective solutions. COR & First Aid Certification is an aset.

Pay: $50,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
