Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Russian Speaking Home Support Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in Russian and have a genuine passion for helping others, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in the client's condition. Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and housekeeping tasks. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals and assist with medication administration when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Assist clients with mobility needs, including the use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts when required. Document patient observations accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Experience

Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:

First aid and CPR certification preferred. Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia care experience is a plus. Background in caregiving or direct support roles that involve patient monitoring and heavy lifting. Experience in social work or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
