Job Description

Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Database Administrator. As a Database Administrator, where is your expertise will drive the seamless operation and advancement of e-Business Suite Applications R12.2 and Oracle Data Guard. Leverage your skills in migrating applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle 19c database administration. Contribute to essential projects, supporting the public sector and ensuring robust security implementations, upgrades, and efficient database performance.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must Haves:

Expertise in e-Business Suite Applications R12.2 and Oracle Data Guard application, covering installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, upgrade, and cloning.

Profound knowledge of migrating e-Business Suite Applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Expert-level proficiency in migrating Oracle technologies from Unix (Solaris) to Oracle Enterprise Linux/Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Advanced proficiency in Oracle 19c database administration, encompassing maintenance, security implementation, upgrade and patching, performance tuning, sizing and capacity planning, and database backup and recovery using RMAN.

Nice to Have:

Prior experience in the Public Sector is an asset.

Familiarity with supporting SSO as part of EBS installation.

Knowledge of OUD, OID, DIP, ODSM, EBS Webgate, and Access gate.

Criteria:

Install, configure, and manage Real Application Cluster (RAC), Grid Infrastructure, and Automatic Storage Management (ASM).

Performance tuning of e-Business Suite R12.2/19c in a multi-node RAC environment.

Knowledge of Oracle Supercluster, Exadata Storage Cells, and concepts of IO Domains/Zones and provisioning, capacity management in an Engineered system.

Installation and configuration expertise in iSupplier in

Knowledge of Online patching.

Develop database backup and restore strategy utilizing Flash Recovery Area (FRA) for RMAN and ASM.

Configuration of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 Using Logical Host.

Proficiency in Advanced Compression, Data partitioning processes.

Familiarity with UNIX OS, utilities, and shell scripting.
