Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Supports Client\xe2\x80\x99s wide-ranging business information requirements, implementing and supporting business intelligence software solutions
  • Develops and supports customized query applications which analyze key business data
  • Develops and supports guided analysis and drill-down functionality, routine scheduling and notification of report generation, and effective implementation of \xe2\x80\x9copportunity\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9ckey-trend\xe2\x80\x9d alerts.
  • Provides Clients with approach options and tools for managing business-related data in a manner that assists in quantitative analysis of progress and the relationship between operational actions and their effect on business objectives.
General Skills:
  • Experience with analyzing data in source systems to identify data cleanliness issues (e.g. missing values, duplicate meanings, and invalid data)
  • Experience with developing feedback processes to fix corrupt data in the source systems
  • Experience with developing data extraction, transformation, and load programs (daily and initial load) functionality on a wide-range of data repositories (relational and multi- dimensional data stores)
  • Experience with developing, implementing and maintaining schedule/dependency logic for Extract Transform Load (ETL) scripts

  • Hands on experience working with stakeholders to develop and document interface specifications design between Business Intelligence solutions and external applications
  • Extensive experience with conceptual, logical and physical data modelling tools like Power Designer, and Visio.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Create visually appealing and impactful Power BI report designs with report formatting, including report navigation
  • Use Power Query to extract data from different data sources and choose a storage mode and connectivity type.
  • Profile, clean, and load data into Power BI
  • Design data models that are intuitive, high-performing, and simple to maintain
  • Examine, sort and present data using Power BI in a cohesive manner
  • Connect Premium Capacity Power BI reports to cloud & on-premise data sources
Deliverables:
  • Create Power BI report(s), data models
  • Undertake special assignments/sub-projects as assigned
  • Conduct, assess, evaluate and document stakeholder interests and business needs
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to IT processes and standards
  • Support the testing team during system and UAT testing
  • Participate in Knowledge transfer
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI developer, building Business Intelligence reports and dashboards
  • Demonstrated experience with M, DAX and Power Query
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem
  • Proven experience with SQL Server and other database technologies
  • Proven, demonstratable experience in data modeling and data visualization; working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem and the Power Platform and Power BI Premium Capacity

Note:

This position is currently listed as "Onsite"; however, the Assignment under this request will provisionally be \xe2\x80\x9cHybrid\xe2\x80\x9d, working 7.25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive, unless otherwise identified. These conditions are subject to change as the OPS reflects on its current situation. During the duration of the assignment, you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Manager\xe2\x80\x99s requirements for the Project you are assigned to.

The VOR Master Service Agreement which expires on April 5, 2024, leaves some Contracts with funding unassigned for fiscal 2024-25. If the current statement of work expires on March 31, 2024, the remaining funds can be used to exercise an option to extend the SOW be-yond March 31, 2024, based on business case approvals. Such extensions will be allowable, on-ly if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5, 2024, and be upon the same terms, conditions, and covenants contained in the SOW.
