Minimum 2 years of offshore ROV / Trencher/ ROVDrill experience
Offshore operation, data recording, maintenance and repair of the system and ancillary equipment under the direction of the Superintendent / Supervisor.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all personnel under Sr. PT\'s supervision perform their tasks safely and efficiently in accordance with approved procedures and Helix RS QHSE policy and objectives
Stand in as the system Supervisor as and when directed by Helix RS constraints
Stock-taking and inventory control of the system spares and consumables
Maintain system and project documents (e.g., inventory, weekly reports, dive logs, video logs, etc.) under the direction of the Superintendent or Supervisor
Provide "on the job" training where considered necessary
Attendance at, and when nominated, chairing or weekly safety meetings
Conduct system maintenance in compliance with planned maintenance system (COMS) and maintain records of maintenance
Ensure work area and equipment are kept clean and safe
Carry out other tasks as delegated by Project Manager or Superintendent
Cultivate and maintain a positive attitude with self and crewmembers
Apply safe work ethics
COMPETENCIES:
IMCA competency: satisfactory completion of Helix RS assessment as a Senior Pilot Technician, with a minimum of 2 years offshore experience and 200 hours piloting
Extensive knowledge of current safety and quality standards as applied to systems and their requirements in an offshore environment
Current offshore survival, medical certification, Safe Gulf (or equivalent), TWIC (where applicable) and passport
JOB SPECIFICATION:Special Skills / Knowledge:
Understanding the legislation / guidance, e.g., reporting incidents and near misses, conducting tool box talks
Understanding of company safety management system
Demonstrate consistently good safety and housekeeping practices
Good knowledge of emergency procedures
Capable of coordinating and implementing planned maintenance system (COMS)
Capable of identifying faults down to major component level
Demonstrate better than average knowledge of technical aspects of the ROV / Trenching / ROVDrill systems
Capable of navigating system to worksite in any condition; fully aware of potentially dangerous positions and weather parameters for the system
Capable of performing all manipulator duties with good hand and eye coordination
Capable of system mobilization and demobilization, organizing logistics and completing all relevant paperwork
Capable of performing launch and recovery of system, assessing current / predicted weather conditions to ensure safety of system and crew
Ability to coordinate and maintain dive records and video, to include written and audio logs
Capable of completing technical reports in detail
Demonstrate a working knowledge of company QHSE and associated procedures
Demonstrate good basic leadership skills
