We are currently recruiting Route Sales Drivers for Toronto and the GTA.
In a Nutshell
If you are interested in a challenging and rewarding position, join our team as a Route Sales Representative. This position involves 80% Driving, and 20% Sales. Shifts for this position will be early mornings during the week; occasional, Saturdays, and no evenings.
The Role
Drive a designated route to service clients and deliver products from route trucks to customer accounts on a daily basis.
Safely operate the company truck /cube van on each trip and comply with applicable laws and company policies.
Build customer relationships and loyalty, communicate openly, educate customers, and promptly report customer issues to the Area Supervisor.
Provide exceptional customer service to maintain and grow the existing client base.
Upsell additional products and continually meet or exceed sales quotas and expectations.
Identifying changing customer needs through a constant review of the highest selling products and frequent communication with store managers.
Developing all assigned accounts relative to sales volume, product distribution, space allocation and customer service objectives.
Selling and executing promotions, soliciting placement of marketing equipment, displays, racks and selling sufficient product inventory for customer volume demands.
Accurately prepare sales paperwork, driver inspection forms and time records.
Maintain a clean work space to ensure a safe work environment.
Key Qualifications
Must have a valid G driver's license and a clean driving record
Preference will be given to those with experience in DSD/Grocery industry
Previous sales experience is considered a strong asset
Excellent time management skills - able to manage daily deliveries in a timely manner
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
Excellent work ethic - able to work with minimal supervision
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Travel Requirements
Frequently driving or riding by vehicle within a designated sales territory
