The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team. Are you passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience? If your answer is "Yes", we would like to meet you.

We do require candidates to be available on weekdays, weekends and holidays for both early morning and evening shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Room Service Server is responsible for taking orders, delivering and serving food & beverages to guests in their room according to Hilton service standards, picking up trays, collecting payment, being knowledgeable of all menu items and the hotel property, and other responsibilities as requested by your manager or supervisor. This position is committed to providing genuine hospitality and meaningful experiences to each and every guest.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service

Take room service orders and deliver food & beverages in a timely and accurate manner.

Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up.

Ensure that the Room Service office is fully stocked with linens, glasses, china and silverware.

Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods.

Be prepared to answer any guest questions about the menu, the hotel property and/or the surrounding area in a direct and concise way.

Pick up room trays/tables as necessary.

Greet all guests as per the Hilton standard and offer professional and friendly service.

Use suggestive selling techniques and up-selling skills.

Ensure all opening and closing duties are performed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Previous food & beverage experience required. Must possess a good command of English and excellent communication skills. Must be reliable and flexible with shifts and hours. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be detail-oriented and organized. Appearance must be neat and well-groomed. Must be Smart Serve certified. Ability to focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
