Material Handling: Assist in the loading and unloading of roofing materials, tools, and equipment at the job site. Transport materials to the appropriate location on the roof.
Site Preparation: Prepare the work area by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and ensuring the area is safe and accessible for roofing tasks.
Tools and Equipment: Maintain and organize roofing tools and equipment. Hand tools, ladders, safety harnesses, and power tools are commonly used in roofing projects.
Roofing Installation: Support roofers in installing various roofing materials, such as shingles, tiles, metal sheets, or other roofing systems, based on project specifications.
Tear-off and Disposal: Participate in the removal of old or damaged roofing materials (tear-off) and ensure proper disposal of debris.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and other team members. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Repair and Maintenance: Assist in repairing and maintaining existing roofs, including fixing leaks, replacing damaged sections, and reinforcing weak areas.
Cleanup: Clean the work area and dispose of waste materials at the end of each workday.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure a smooth workflow.
