We are seeking an experienced

Roofing Foreman & Crew Trainer

to lead residential and light commercial roofing projects while training and developing high-performing crews. This role is ideal for a senior roofer who takes pride in craftsmanship, safety, leadership, and teaching proper installation methods across multiple roofing systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Crew Leadership

Lead roofing crews on residential and light commercial projects Coordinate daily job activities, crew assignments, and site logistics Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within scope Serve as the main on-site point of contact for management and crew
Training & Skill Development

Train new and existing crew members on: Laminated/asphalt shingle roofing systems EPDM roofing systems (including detailing, terminations, and drainage) Hidden/internal gutter systems and drainage detailing Proper flashing, waterproofing, and ventilation practices Manufacturer specifications and company SOPs Identify skill gaps and provide hands-on coaching Help standardize installation methods across all crews
Quality Control

Ensure all work meets or exceeds company and manufacturer standards Perform daily and final quality checks before job completion Identify deficiencies early and correct them proactively Maintain clean, professional job sites
Safety & Compliance

Enforce site safety protocols and WorkSafeBC requirements Lead daily safety checks and ensure proper PPE use Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism
Materials & Equipment

Confirm correct materials are on site prior to project start Monitor material usage and report shortages or issues Ensure tools and equipment are used, maintained, and stored properly
Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of hands-on roofing experience Previous foreman or lead-hand experience strongly preferred Proven experience with: Asphalt / laminated shingle roofing systems EPDM roofing systems Hidden / internal gutter systems Strong understanding of flashing, waterproofing, and drainage detailing Ability to read work orders, drawings, and roofing plans Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and lead crews Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
