Ace Enterprises and CR Enterprises are family owned and operated construction companies in Yellowknife, NT, with nearly 50 combined years operating. We are in immediate need of an Roller Operator to work for the 2023 Construction Season, approximate end of October 2023. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Working at various job sites.
• Safely operate and maintain asphalt Roller and other construction equipment as needed.
• Ensure the Roller is operational and in good running condition.
• Perform equipment walk-around inspections, identify and correct unsafe conditions.
• Preventative maintenance, service and housekeeping as needed.
• Assist asphalt or other construction crews as needed.
• May supervise and train other employees.
• Work with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• Accurately complete equipment/production/safety reports as required.
• Maintain good customer relations with customers on an ongoing basis.
• Possess initiative, ability, and willingness to perform and assist with other job positions as requested.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 or more years of asphalt Roller Operator experience.
• Experience leading asphalt paving programs and crews deemed an asset.
• Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
• High Focus on Safety.
• Self starter with sense of urgency.
• High attention to detail.
• Willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Project a positive and cooperative attitude.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new work conditions.
• Valid Driver?s License.
• Legal right to work in Canada.

Working Conditions

• Physical fitness with limber body movements and ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate and stay attentive for extended periods of time.
• Ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts).
• Ability to perform essential job tasks in less than favourable job conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Salary: $28.00-$32.00 per hour Benefits:
