Position Summary
Arctic Response is seeking a Rock Truck Operator to join our team. The Operator will be responsible for heavy equipment operation and maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
Operation of Rock Truck
Ensure the safety of self, colleagues, students, clients, and authorized visitors during training deliveries and operational services.
Perform pre-operational equipment checks, monitor grease, and refill fluids
Assist in keeping equipment in good working condition
Attend all safety meetings
Complete shift paperwork as required
Traveling to locations throughout Canada
Other tasks as required
Mandatory Requirements
Experience, competence, and certification as a Rock Truck operator
Valid Driver's License
Capable of regular machine maintenance
Competence and experience managing high-hazard activities, exercising excellent safety judgement, decision-making, and risk management
Strong and courteous communication skills
Integrity, professionalism, maturity, reliability, and accountability
Responsible, self-motivated, able to self-direct and solve problems independently
Ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, and clients in a team environment
Flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills.
Available and willing to travel throughout Northern Canada on an occasional basis.
Preferred Requirements
Arctic Response Canada Ltd. is willing to provide on-the-job training, though formal certification and/or substantial experience in the following will be considered assets:
Certifications in the following will be considered an asset: compactor, loader, skid steer
Experience working in Canada's north
